This shows the average years of teaching experience as reported by the state. Although experience alone is not an indicator of
teacher effectiveness, schools with a low average may face difficulties. This is because teachers with limited experience may
be less skilled at managing the challenges of classroom instruction. Conversely, a high average may point toward a lack of
fresh ideas and innovative teaching methods at a school. In general, the most effective schools have a combination of
experienced and new teachers, and create opportunities for all teachers to learn from each other.
